2026 Executive Message

Dear Members;

The executive committee welcome you to the 2026 West Hill Golf Association golf season. This is the 61st year since a group of friends and avid golfers at the West Hill Tavern in Scarborough elected to form a private men’s social golf league welcoming players of all skill levels to join them in a non-judgmental but competitive environment. Our vision for the club remains the same today as it did then; Share the growth of golf, the spirit of competition, earn the rewards for a game well played and of course the fun and camaraderie of it all. It is our hope you will share this vision with us.

As members of the WHGA we gain the opportunity to play some of the finest golf courses in The GTA at a
reasonable rate. This year our first tournament will take place at Woodington Lake Golf Course on
Sunday, April 26th and we cap the season off with our year end golf and banquet extravaganza at Royal
Ashburn Golf Club on Saturday, September 19th.

Our weekend away tournament the “PREMIERE EVENT OF THE SEASON” is being held on Friday – Sunday
August 14th – 16th at a NEW LOCATION, Trillium Wood Golf Club in Corbyville just north of Bellville,
Ontario. We hope this new location will attract some enthusiasm with members to come and participate in this exciting event.

Enclosed, in our membership package, you will find absolutely everything you need to know about the
league including fees, rules, handicapping, courses with dates and special events. Also attached is your
membership application along with commitment and liability waiver forms.
It is important and we encourage that each and every member to commit to and plan to play in as many
events as possible.

If you are just visiting our website and are interested in joining the WHGA please read through our
membership package so you can make an informed choice. Or alternatively, if you just want to kick our
tires to get a feel for what we are all about we encourage you to play in one of our upcoming tournaments as a paying guest.

With rising cost and fees, the Executive Committee needed to increase the membership fee to $230.00, which includes the year end banquet dinner, golf, cart, range, prizes and awards (50/50 optional).
